Star Wars First Advance Mylar (Pointy W) One Sheet
This is the first advance poster ever distributed for Star Wars. It was displayed in theatres during the Christmas season of 1976. It was only shipped to theatres that had already booked the film before the release date was announced (which is reportedly a mere 32 theaters). The "W" in the STAR WARS logo was pointed in this poster and was later changed to match the style of the other letters in the logo.
The poster is in great condition with only minor wear on the edges and a few tack holes from being displayed in the theatre. Many of these remaining posters are in poor condition because the mylar can easily separate - this poster is truly an exception. One example recently sold at CineMasterpieces for over $3,400. I will consider all offers in the $2,000 price range.
For the ultimate STAR WARS fan, this poster is the Holy Grail.
